OK, yes, I must admit it. I am utterly biased, love and adore Susannah and Trinny of the original BBCA “What Not To Wear” TV Show. While I am certainly a fan of the US version of the TV show on TLC featuring US Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, in my mind, the British version of the show is the best of the two. I so enjoy the show that I purchased Susannah and Trinny’s original WNTW book years ago and only just this past Holiday Season found “What You Wear Can Change Your Life.” What is so marvelous about the two of them with their endless love and sardonic sage style oracle goddesses attributes is that they are each such different body types. And each dresses to make herself look stylish, sexy and fabulous.

Neither Susannah nor Trinny is Body Perfect. Each is addressing body challenges, and how they describe the aging attributes of their bodies is hysterically funny to read. That same drole sense of humor they exhibit on the TV show we Americans simply love on BBCA they voice in this book. It rings true to their voices.

1. They encourage Mums aka Moms to be a wife and partner to be sexy and stylish, not just buying clothes for her kids, to get a new no cost wardrobe, to cull and also to give their clothes to friends who it would look good on or simply to give those clothes away.

2. Accessories: you may heard of the idea before, but the photographs they include demonstrate the way to choose good accessories. So often women over 35 years old strive to add a funky purse or other accessory to their wardrobe and do it badly so that it overwhelms them and their look. Susannah and Trinny provide illustrative photos so when you do purchase new fabulous finds that they are cool and fun and compliment your body proportions and your ensemble.

3. They provide How to Stand and do Body Postures for just about every conceivable body part challenge to look better. I have to say I laughed and personally resemble Trinny more closely than Susannah. When they showed the challenge of her large arms and pointed out that there are simply times when they are going to show, I was so relieved because indeed that is just life. But then they provided tips for what to do and how to hold my body to make them look as good as possible. You don’t have to aim to look perfect. The idea is for you to look as good as possible. I think every woman will love this section of the book and breath a sigh of relief.

As a dating and relationship coach to single women of all ages, most women could benefit from an image update and boost from a professional stylist. This book by Susannah and Trinny empower women to do just that on their own. So, I highly recommend you get a copy and do share it with your girlfriends!
