Most people just go to movies, out to dinner or to a local coffee shop for a date. Let’s be honest, that is really BORING!!! For you and for the girl. With a little creativity you can stop being such a dork and finally come up with some original ideas for a change. Don’t get too hung up on what you plan on doing on a date, just try to avoid the typical stuff that almost everybody comes up with for a first date. If you and your date don’t see eye to eye on things, having a great idea won’t help much. Some people just aren’t meant for each other. I once went out with a total ding dong who happened to be a complete knock out. And when I say a knock out, I mean this chick was probably hotter than Jessica Alba. That is not an exaggeration at all. However, because of here extremely small brain and lack of social skills, it was like being on a date with a mannequin. You may run into this sort of thing yourself, but hopefully it won’t happen constantly.
For first dates meeting for a drink somewhere is great. Especially if it’s a blind date, which are usually never a good idea by the way. Hopefully the bar you meet at will have a pool table or darts so you can have a little fun after downing a few drinks. Don’t get totally hammered for god’s sake, just get a little buzz. If you don’t drink, just get a bottled water.
If you’re lucky enough to be dating somebody who has similar interests to you, then plan a date that will involve something that the both of you will enjoy. If you both like wine, go on a tour of some wineries. If you’re an athletic and adventurous couple, try white water rafting. I did that once and it was a blast! Mountain climbing is also very fun.
Creative date ideas don’t necessarily have to be expensive. If you’re flush with cash you don’t have to spend like a poor man, but don’t feel compelled to blow a lot of money on a date if you’ve just met the person. This is especially true if you’re well off and your date isn’t. For instance, if you make $500,000 per year as a doctor, and you’re dating an accountant who brings in $70,000 per year, don’t be taking your lady off to a foreign land somewhere so that you can show her your villa. Sure, when it comes to creative date ideas that would certainly qualify, but you’d also be perceived as a huge desperate dork who’s trying hard to impress. That sort of thing makes you seem very insecure which always turns women off.
Comedy clubs can be a blast. There’s always the off chance that the comedian will be lousy, but there are typically several comedians performing each night so it’s unlikely they’ll all suck. Most of these places serve alcohol which can help the time go by faster if the performance is awful.
